A Small Studio, Built to Protect Your Legacy
Personal, white-glove digitization and restoration — done by hand, one order at a time, on calibrated studio equipment right here in Rochester, NY.
Meet the Person Behind the Bridge
MemoryBridge Digital is a small, dedicated studio — built to treat every reel, tape, and photo like it's the only copy that exists. Because, often, it is.

A note from the founder
Hi, I am Ray Kaforey, the ‘hands’ behind MemoryBridge Digital, LLC. What started as helping my family rescue boxes of my parents’ and grandparents' Super 8 reels, 35mm slides & negatives, and hundreds, if not thousands, of photos turned into a calling — making sure no one's history quietly fades away on a shelf in a Rochester, NY, and surrounding areas basement.
Every project is treated personally. I inspect each piece of media (tape, film, reel, etc.) before it ever touches a deck, then capture it with calibrated, studio-grade equipment. Only once it looks and sounds the way your memory actually felt, within the confines of technical capabilities, do I hand off a digital copy of the original. Optionally, I will correct color, exposure, stability, speed, and audio as much as technically possible, with the patience of someone who knows these aren't just files—they are people, places, and moments you can't get back, but that you do want to preserve for generations to come.
No assembly-line outsourcing. No surprise fees. Just careful, accountable work, one order at a time — right here in Rochester, NY.
"If it mattered enough to keep, it matters enough to preserve."
The equipment doing the rescuing
This is the gear that reads, corrects, and captures your media — broadcast-grade VTRs for your tapes, a dedicated 8mm/Super 8 telecine path for your film, and color-managed monitors so what I see on my bench is exactly what you'll get back.
Zero-Loss Chain of Custody
Your originals are tracked, bar-coded, and never leave the studio until they return safely to you.
Studio-Grade Decks
Calibrated broadcast VTRs, frame-synced time-base correction, and dedicated 8mm/Super 8 telecine.
Color-True Capture
Color-managed scanning and monitor calibration so skin tones and daylight render honestly.

Studio equipment — calibrated for honest, archival-grade capture.
